Thirty years after the original came out, here’s a ‘musical remake’ starring Abigail Breslin (little Miss Sunshine) as Baby, with dancer and actor Colt Prattes as swoonsome bad boy Johnny. Co-starring Nicole Scherzinger, Bruce Greenwood, Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland and Debra Messing, it’s pretty slick and engaging, but what will the original’s devoted fans think?
