Count Arthur Strong

-

comedy / 8.30pm / BBC1

There’s a lot of plot and a lot of laughs in this week’s episode, which also hands a major storyline to Michael (Rory Kinnear), who’s a bit concerned that Sinem thinks he’s not macho enough.

‘I’m manly… I am very manly,’ he virtually bellows, before spotting some fruit.

‘Ooh, these blueberries are exquisite.’ Meanwhile, Count Arthur is once again playing a key role in a Murder Mystery Evening. He is always the corpse, or ‘the inanimate eye candy’ as he prefers to call it. This time he’s playing a dead police inspector done in during the course of his duties. But when Arthur gets a bang on the head on the way home, and starts to believe he really is a cop, a funny episode wanders towards classic status.
