An oriental misfit on a quest to find himself – yes, it sounds a bit like the plot of Kung Fu panda and there is definitely a touch of the ‘me too’ about this Chinese/us co-production about a dog leaving his music-free village behind to find fame in the city. Luke Wilson brings a dude-ish quality to the role of Bodi, the Tibetan axe-bothering canine in question, and it’s the voice cast that’s the standout – you’ll have no problem identifying JK Simmons and Eddie Izzard.
