As a result, she welcomes the attention of handsome aristocrat Hugh Armitage (Josh Whitehouse), who made his debut in episode three, when he joined Dwight in the wartime prison camp in France.
Whether or not an actual romance develops between him and Demelza remains to be seen, but will Ross notice the spark between them?
