a visit by the Mexican ambassador causes quite a stir tonight, as Mr Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) invites a delegation for an important dinner at his house. Offred (Elisabeth Moss) is told to be on her best behaviour in front of them, and again when the handmaids are invited to a special celebration of Gilead and its children. But the usually smart Offred fails to see what exactly the trade deal will be, probably because she’s too busy snogging the face off Nick the chauffeur every time they’re alone. When she’s asked directly by the ambassador about her role, will Offred stick to the rules or will she take further risks?
