It’s straw­ber­ries and cream time again as the 131st Cham­pi­onships be­gins. With de­fend­ing cham­pion Andy Mur­ray strug­gling to play at his best af­ter a bout of shin­gles ear­lier in the year, it’s resur­gent le­gends Roger Fed­erer and Rafa Nadal who look set to im­press, af­ter wins at the Aus­tralian Open and French Open re­spec­tively. But per­haps 2017 may be the time for a Bri­tish win on the women’s side of the draw, as our very own Jo­hanna Konta pre­pares to take to the lawns. She’s ranked sev­enth in the world, and Ser­ena Wil­liams’ preg­nancy has thrown the tour­na­ment wide open, so it could be her time to shine…
