Life after ’Chelle
Ayear after quitting her role as Michelle Fowler in Eastenders, Susan Tully was back on TV screens presenting Genderquake, a C4 documentary about women in the workplace. The actress admitted that leaving the soap hadn’t been easy: ‘I thought I’d end up on the dole’.
She needn’t have worried – she has since enjoyed a successful career as a director, including series Getting On and The A Word.
And she stuck by what she told us then – that she wouldn’t return to her role as ’Chelle.
