Joanna goes back in time
Hot on the heels of Purdey in The New Avengers, Joanna Lumley was once again solving mysteries in ITV series Sapphire & Steel, opposite David Mccallum. They played non-human detectives – Joanna the intuitive Sapphire and David the logical Steel – who investigated disturbing events brought about by unknown forces, causing the past to break into the present.
When asked about a revival of the cult show, which ended on a cliffhanger in 1982, Joanna has said, ‘I’d do it like a shot!’
