In BBC4’S The British Garden: Life and Death on Your Lawn, Chris Packham and a team of scientists chart the wildlife in several very different gardens in a single street in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire over a year. They use the latest technology and hidden cameras to discover how many different species live there and which type of garden is best for flora and fauna.
‘It’s an in-depth appraisal of the value of the great British garden. All the gardens we chose have individual characters, but people will be surprised by the diversity of life that has adapted to live in that space and how it’s all interconnected,’ Chris tells TV Times.
