When Gary, Sonya and Piper accuse Terese of being back on the booze, she’s forced to admit that her odd behaviour is due to treatment for cancer. With her secret out in the open, Gary and the family are keen to support her, but it’s Paul who Terese confides in about her fear that she won’t survive. As he insists that she’s going nowhere, Terese worries that she’s falling for him again, and tells Gary that she wants to bring their wedding forward. But is he really the man she wants?
Elsewhere, Toadie signs a lease on an apartment for him and Willow. But while Willow is delighted, Toadie is troubled – is this the beginning of the end for him and Sonya?
