Ray Winstone convinces as a South African Boer War veteran in 1903 New Zealand, hired by the British military to track down Maori sailor Temuera Morrison, accused of killing a soldier. But Winstone realises that his hatred of British colonialism means he has more in common with his prey than his masters. The acting is good and the landscapes spectacular.
