The first act in tonight’s episode takes us through the icy wilds of Minnesota, where Nikki is on the run from Varga’s masked heavies, all the while handcuffed to another prisoner, deaf hitman Mr Wrench (Russell Harvard) from series two. When the two fugitives stumble across a Big Lebowski-esque bowling alley, Nikki has the most surreal exchange with a mysterious man (played by Ray Wise, who we last saw in LA with Gloria) and his kitten called Ray. Meanwhile, Sy pays Emmit a visit on Christmas Day only to find Varga carving up the turkey – will Emmit realise the extent of Varga’s evil plan before it’s too late?
