The hit teatime quiz show celebrated its 500th episode in 2014, and brainbox Paul, 47, told TV Times why he and the other Chasers hate getting answers wrong:

‘I had about five seconds to answer a final question, which was “What name is given to a dish of sausage in a batter?”, and toad in the hole just wouldn’t come to me! I had my head in my hands and I didn’t get the answer. The contestant ended up winning the money!’
