Robert and Michelle call in the cops when the Bistro is targeted…

The Street’s residents will need to take out life insurance policies for the next time they pop to the Bistro for their steak and chips. Just a few weeks after Chesney was stabbed there, a Molatov cocktail is hurled at the door.

Robert and Michelle are left horrified by the attack. This is no random act of violence they’ve been subjected to – the couple are being deliberately targeted. The Bistro isn’t a happy ship in the wake of Chesney’s ordeal, and Robert’s in a foul mood at the start of the week when Gemma persuades Ches to sue. Adam Barlow is swiftly brought on board, and he gets off to a flying start. Earlier, knowing that Chesney is strapped for cash, Michelle gave him £200, but

Adam argues that it’s a sign she and Robert accept responsibility.

Meanwhile, Daniel riles

Robert by asking the editor of

The Weatherfield Gazette to read an article he has written about the attack. He bans the woman, called Cindy, from publishing it, but inevitably, the Bistro bloodbath makes headline news.

Robert’s furious as customers cancel their bookings and, when Adam then demands £10k for his client, the chef has a row with ’Shell and storms off. And that’s when things go really downhill…

Alone in the restaurant, Michelle is disturbed by a noise. Investigating, she finds someone has spray-painted ‘RIP’ on the wall.

‘Michelle is terrified,’ says actress Kym Marsh. ‘Robert returns, having been mugged in town, and then someone throws a homemade firebomb at the Bistro.’

The pair call the police and name Rich as the likely perpetrator. He vowed revenge, remember, when Robert shopped him for drug dealing. But is Rich really to blame?
