Ossie, and it was a fantastic accolade to be voted the most hated man on television. I worked with a wonderful cast, and it was great seeing Robin Ellis as Ross – we had been in salisbury Rep together when I was a drama student.
‘Would I like a cameo like Robin has as the Rev Halse? yes, it would be fun to make an appearance. Ossie was very upper class, so instead, I’d rather play a character like a cornish fisherman,
with a very good beard and come looming in from the sea.’
