TV Times - - Friday -

Monty Don is thinking of his stomach tonight as he turns his attention to the myriad fruits and vegetables at Long Meadow. To ensure a bumper crop is blooming, he has some tips on pruning fruit trees and how to make sure your tomatoes and chillies are looking and therefore tasting great. He also has some tips on plants that will add colour to your garden well into the autumn. While Carol Klein meets one of her gardening heroes – Roy Lancaster – Nick Bailey is digging out more alien invaders in our green patches. Rachel de Thame is reflecting on how we used to garden 50 years ago, and Joe Swift and Flo Headlam introduce a new project in Wiltshire as part of the show’s golden anniversary.
