Richard Briers is blooming!

After starring as the ever-cheery

Tom Good in BBC1’S hugely popular self-sufficiency sitcom The Good Life for three years, Richard Briers took time to sit back and reflect on his own happy state.

‘I don’t lack anything. I’ve got a super family and they love me which is marvellous,’ he told us as he relaxed in the garden of the west London home he shared with his wife and two daughters.

Richard, who died in 2013 aged 79, was equally down-to-earth about his success. ‘I’m really just the bloke next door, I’m everybody’s neighbour.’
