4 MORE CORRIE

BOYS to MEN

-

David Platt

David was born in Weatherfield on Christmas Day 1990. He may as well have been christened Damien, judging by the horrors he got up to in his late teens and early twenties, not least of which was pushing mum Gail down the stairs. These days, he’s a single dad to Max and Lily and a much more well-rounded individual, although how long he stays that way is anyone’s guess.

Steve Mcdonald

A 15-year-old

Steve and twin brother Andy arrived in

Weatherfield in

December 1989

– when, fittingly,

New Kids On the Block were number one in the charts. Steve got up to all manner of scams when he was younger, and even did time in prison. While he tends to stay on the right side of the law nowadays, his six failed marriages tell us he can still be a bit of a plank.

chesney Brown

Was Chesney the cutest kid in Weatherfield or what? Actor Sam Aston was 10 years old when he joined the soap in 2003 as Fiz’s little brother. Fast forward 14 years and Ches is now a parent himself – to son Joseph, who’s currently living in Portugal with his mum, Katy. ‘People still see me as that little kid,’ says Sam. ‘I could have any storyline, and I’ll always be seen as that kid.’

tyrone DOBBS

Tyrone was a troubled teen when he first came to Weatherfield,

– hardly surprising given his mum was habitual criminal

Jackie Dobbs. But he soon became a man thanks to Jack and Vera Duckworth, who raised him like he was one of their own. These days, Tyrone

is a family man with a heart of gold.
