Inside London Fire Brigade
In last week’s first episode of this new series, London firefighters talked about the Grenfell Tower tragedy. This week, around 100 firefighters attend a big fire at a garden centre near Heathrow. The situation becomes even more difficult to manage when it’s revealed that the spreading fire is heading towards some explosive gas canisters, and the brigade realise they don’t have enough water to fight the fire and keep the gas canisters cool. Meanwhile, the challenges faced by all the emergency services in the light of cuts are highlighted when, at another incident, an ambulance takes nearly four hours to arrive.
