er many months of living with superbitch Kim Tate have clearly left their mark on Andrea, who descends to new depths in the shady stakes by telling hubby Jamie that if he doesn’t stay with her, she’ll grass him up for his hit-and-run on Moira.

‘Hit-and-run?’ we hear you cry. Yes, last week, Jamie – who is clearly a lousy driver, having once mowed down Eric Pollard – was on his way to find AWOL Andrea when Moira had a close encounter with his car bonnet.

The wet vet has confided in his wife, who this week tries to convince him he hit an animal. But when Lydia reveals Moira’s in a bad way, reality sinks in.

Racked with guilt, Jamie heads to the hospital and is about to confess all to lover Belle when Andrea barges in and stops him.

‘Andrea tries to make him see what he could lose by coming clean,’ says Anna Nightingale, who plays her.

‘She also knows that if he brings Belle into the mix, that pushes her out of the picture.’

Belle is rattled to see her lover with his ex, and later heads to Home Farm to talk to him. Andrea answers the door and delights in telling the drippy Dingle that Jamie doesn’t want to be with her.

Meanwhile, as Kim remains oblivious to what her son has done, Andrea insists they must convince everyone that they are back together.

Jamie does as he’s told, but when Belle sees the pair in the cafe and runs out, he goes after her. Andrea tries to win him over with a romantic date, but Jamie gives it to her straight – he wants Belle.

Andrea’s willing to do anything to save her marriage, and bites back that if he leaves her, she’ll dob him in to the police.

‘At first, Andrea wants to support her husband,’ adds Anna, ‘but it becomes, “If you go against me, you’ll see what I’m capable of.”’
