ll together: It’s time to play the music, it’s time to light the lights, it’s time to meet the Muppets in their brand-new comedy show on Friday nights!

Muppets Now, a six-part series airing weekly on Disney+, is the puppet pals’ first unscripted series and sees Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and the gang presenting a range of fun segments from cookery classes to scientific experiments and interviews with stars.

‘It’s an incredible show,’ promises Kermit. ‘It’s wild and funny and features some new friends.’

Here, the Muppets reveal more about what they will be getting up to…

AThe Muppets’ permanently hassled resident gofer Scooter is trying his best to deliver the series on time, but is inundated with messages from the rest of his colleagues. ‘I have to upload Muppets Now but they want to keep making it better,’ says Scooter, who is also the announcer on Pepe’s Unbelievable Game Show, hosted by Pepe the King Prawn. ‘Scooter is very busy,’ adds Kermit. ‘I hope that nobody drove him crazy with last-minute requests or notes, but I did have some thoughts…’

A host of famous guest stars take part in the series, including funny man Seth Rogen (Bad Neighbours) and Parks and Recreation actor Aubrey Plaza, while the first episode sees

Kermit quizzing American drag queen Rupaul on in-depth chat show Mup Close and Personal.

‘The Muppets were so excited about Rupaul,’ reveals Kermit. ‘I am in such awe. Ru really inspires me.’

However, a spot of gatecrashing occurs when the other Muppets decide to get in on the act and ask the Drag Race star questions, too!

The ever-glamorous Miss Piggy hosts beauty-and-fitness slot Lifesty, which she swiftly renames Lifestyle. With sinister Uncle Deadly at her beck and call, she and Private Practice actor Taye Diggs try out a range of treatments, including a rather brutal face-slapping massage.

Meanwhile, Dead to Me star Linda Cardellini shares her insights into health and well-being with the highly strung porcine.

‘I was so excited to try some new things with Taye and we have fabulous panel discussions and answer questions from the fans, so I don’t have to think up more than one question,’ says Miss Piggy, who has her own fashion tips for viewers wanting to dress to impress.

‘Pick clothes that complement you or at least a wardrobe person who does. Accentuate your favourite features and own your flaws. They are what make you one of a kind. And you can also wear a sparkly dress and gloves!’
