DRANSFIELD
The Fiddler’s Dream
Trad-folk Poldark hunk Barry Dransfield and brother Robin made two exceptional acoustic albums at the turn of the 1970s, plugging in belatedly for this 1976 concept LP. A faux Roger Dean sleeve failed to tap into the Yes market, but lead track “Up To Now” is equal to anything on fiddler Barry’s fearsomely dear 1972 solo LP.
