LONG LIVE THE HOLLIES

I am pleased to see you reviewed Allan Clarke’s new album Resurgence in your November issue. It is his eighth solo album and a complete surprise as he retired from The Hollies 20 years ago. His vocals are much lower than in his golden Hollies days but the new record is a first-class production. In their heyday, The Hollies notched up 30 hit singles but also made some brilliant albums. It’s good to see HMV stocking the new Clarke album and I hope it sells well. An unexpected delight!
