Be sure to catch young songwriting star Ophelia

Hayes FM presenter Hughie Dixon reviews the live band scene

-

TUNE into 91.8 Hayes FM at 9pm on Tuesday December 15 to witness the huge talent that is Ophelia Booth. At just 18 years old, this Hillingdon singer songwriter shows a gift that rarely comes from one so young – well written songs of depth and openness with mood lifting breaks and choruses.

London lads Sisteray are returning to the Crown and Treaty pub on Friday for a night of musical madness.

These are four guys with the right attitude who strut the stage like they own it and truly care about the music.

Indie dance rock and pure to the core, Sisteray are masters in their particular field. Imagine The Charlatans crossed with Inspiral Carpets sped up a notch and you’ll arrive somewhere near the Sisteray sound.

In the supporting ranks are The Harriots. Thrashing distorted guitar riffs lead to quiet poetic verses and syncopated middle eights in a moodful maelstrom of creativity.
