Four injured in ‘mass brawl’ at football club

Violence breaks out in Harefield

HILLINGDON detectives have launched an investigation after a fight at a football club in Harefield on Friday June 10 when a man allegedly had a van driven at him.

Officers were called to Harefield United Football Club just before 9pm in Breakspear Road North to reports that a fight had broken out, described by the ambulance service as a ‘mass brawl’.

When they arrived on the scene, police found the fighting had stopped but four people had suffered injuries, including a 44-year-old man who reported injuries as a result of a van driving at him.

A 30-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service for intoxication before being taken to separate hospitals.

Police also stopped a 51-year-old woman near the scene but she declined medical attention.

Spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Jonathan Southgate said: “Police were called at 8.55pm to reports of a fight at Harefield FC.

“There were four injured parties. When they attended there was no fighting but there were four injured parties.”

No arrests have been made in relation to the incident but police are appealing for all witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.55pm on June 10 to reports of a mass brawl near Gilbert Road, Harefield.

“We sent ambulance crews, a single responder by car and an incident response officer to the scene.

“We treated two men at the scene for intoxication and took them to hospital.”
