Talented trio making The Kut at the Treaty

THIS Friday sees the talented female trio The Kut arrive at the Crown and Treaty pub, in Oxford Road, Uxbridge, for one of the final gigs in their gruelling UK tour.
The group effortlessly hop from punk to pop then venture into the grungier side of death metal with vocal harmonics being a most welcome cherry on the icing on a cake that never has the same bite twice.
Their work is ultra tight with clever riffs and drum fills on their EP titled Rock Paper Scissors but can they do it live? Well, YouTube says yes.
Real girl power’s finally making its mark on the unsigned and underground British pop scene with bands like The Nova, The Tuts, Bloom Twins and Bones and The Kut (Diane, Maha and Hannah) can quite comfortably sit up there with the best of them.

Also on the bill this Friday are Furs and Masks (www.soundcloud. com/furs-and-masks) whose quirky indie guitar songs are quite the antidote to a tiresome week of nine-to-five drudgery.
Often fuzzy, occasionally synthy but always laced with integrity with an emphasis on the ‘gritty’, they deliver a vibrant sound that’s uplifting and has that dance-ability factor like Joy Division meets The Cribs.
