plenty to celebrate on results day with 100% of pupils receiving A* to C grades in six different subjects.
Two standout students also picked up a clean sweep of 11 A*s.
The academy was put into special measure after a damning Ofsted report in 2015, but staff will be hoping these strong results will mark a change in direction for the school in Park View Road.
Hannah Crowther from West Drayton was one of the two students to pick up all top grades.
The 16-year-old said: “I wasn’t expecting it. I’m most proud of English lit, because I wanted to get an A. I did better than I thought I would. The school works as hard as they can for students.”
Barnhill Community High School was also delighted students passing both English and maths had risen 6% to 50% – the highest the school has seen for three years.
A total of 16% also achieve A and A* grades which is the highest percentage ever.
Executive headteacher Tracey Hemming said: “Results day is always such a terrific occasion and this year has been a memorable celebration of the achievements of students and staff.
“We are very proud of all of our students.”
Northwood School also had an impressive year with 76% passing both English and maths.
Daniel Larbi was one of the high flying students, picking up nine A*grades and three As.
He said: “I am so delighted with my results and I am grateful beyond words for my wonderful teachers for their support.
“Northwood is a fantastic school. They really care about every student.”
Queensmead School in Ruislip saw 78% of its students get A* to C in maths and English, and Asha Vanzara achieved A*s in all 10 of her subjects.
Girls from St Helen’s School in Northwood also had amazing success with 60% of results awarded being A*s, while 88% were A*s or A.
