It’s far from being of summer for music

Hayes FM presenter Hughie Dixon reviews the live band scene

-

VER the optimist I like to think the summer’s end hits us around September’s demise not its beginning but maybe that’s just me.

This Saturday 3rd September sees a new and hopefully annual music festival where the artists are of the highest quality and the proceeds go to charity.

Situated just outside the Hillingdon Borough at Richens Park Clay Pigeon Club, Old Slade Lane, Iver running from midday to midnight this Saturday is the very first Summer’s End Music Festival. Giving you, not only, all the finest cover and original bands in the region but also one of our borough’s finest DJ’s, Chris Trokey who has provided the warm up sets for Rihanna and Beyoncé. Original bands such as Salt (pictured), The Wipes, Puppet Theory, Lonely Dakota and Rat Pack and familiar covers from Cloud Cover Acoustic, Blue Bicycle Band and Dusk Till Dawn. There’ll be lots of food and drinks available on site as well as kid’s entertainment.

Tickets are £18 each but a family ticket (2 adults and 2 kids) is just £30 and all proceeds go to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
