Science boost at internatio­nal school

State-of-the-art centre will allow ACS to ‘continue to deliver a first-class education’

A SCHOOL has unveiled its plans for a state-ofthe art science centre, as well as welcoming its new head teacher.

ACS Hillingdon Internatio­nal School has celebrated the groundbrea­king a of multi-million pound school developmen­t project, including a cutting-edge science centre, as well as a new library and technology facilities.

With under constructi­on way, the developmen­ts will enable the school to expand the education opportunit­ies on offer.

Neelu Sharma, head of science at ACS Hillingdon, said: “ACS Hillingdon prides itself on providing a stimulatin­g, dynamic and forward-thinking learning environmen­t.

“The new science facilities will enable and inspire curious minds to delve deeper and provide students with the best preparatio­n for university and highly successful careers in science.”

ACS Hillingdon also welcomed a new head teacher this academic year.

Diane Hren has worked within ACS Internatio­nal Schools for more than 10 years and will oversee the completion and opening of the new developmen­t project.

Moving to ACS Hillingdon from her role as head of programmes at ACS, Diane has also been deputy head of school at sister campus ACS Cobham in Surrey and, more recently, head of school at ACS Doha Internatio­nal School in Qatar.
