Hewens College is part of The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust and provides education for children aged 11 to 19.

The College is committed to creating a learning environment where every student has the opportunity to make good progress and achieve their full potential. Our partnership with other schools within the Trust enables us to make a positive difference in the education we deliver to our students. We offer a broad and innovative curriculum which engages, enthuses and inspires.

Hewens College, since opening in August 2011 has continuously strived for excellence and in June 2012 and November 2015 was judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’. In addition to the very successful Ofsted inspections of 2012 and 2015, the College received an SSAT Educational Outcomes Award in 2015 for being in the top 20% of schools nationally for progress made by students between their key stage 2 results at primary school and their GCSE results at age 16.

We also routinely carry out rigorous and robust self-evaluation and encourage feedback from all those involved with our College community.
