WEALDSTONE United FC manager Gordon Bartlett unveiled two new signings as the squad reported back for pre-season training.

The Stones boss has reinforced his squad with the addition of Ben Crilley and Abobaker Eisa.

Crilley is stepping up a division from Southern Premier neighbours Chesham United and wide mid- fielder Eisa will be climbing two rungs of the non-league ladder after signing from Southern 1 Midlands outfit Uxbridge.

“It was good to be back and it was a very positive session with a great work ethic all round from the lads,” said Bartlett as training started.

The club’s opening pre-season fixture is against National League South rivals Hemel Hempstead Town on Saturday (ko noon) and Spartan South Midlands Premier outfit Welwyn Garden City on Tuesday (ko 7.45pm). Both fixtures will be played on the 3G pitch at Beaconsfield Road.

Hayes & Yeading United managers Paul Hughes and Ritchie Hanlon have brought in seven new faces. Attacking options have been bolstered by the arrival of Ryan Ramsey, from Ilford FC; Lewis Putman after a spell on loan with United last season; and Eddie Smith, who spent most of the last campaign with Farnborough.

Winger Manny Duku has signed from Southern Premier Banbury Town, midfielder Gurkan Goku has joined from Slough Town and the defence has been strengthened after a raid on Barton Rovers for Danny Hutchins and Tom Smith.

■ Wealdstone FC are mourning the death of supporter Bob Thompson, whose funeral will be held at Breakspear Crematorium in Ruislip at 11.15am this morning, with a celebration of his life to follow at Hayes and Harlington Conservative Club, in Church Road.
