Man suf­fers knife wound to the chest

A MAN taken to hos­pi­tal with a stab wound in North­wood Hills has been de­scribed as be­ing in a non lifethreat­en­ing con­di­tion.

Po­lice were called at 4.21pm on Mon­day September 4 to Joel Street to re­ports of a man armed with a knife.

Of­fi­cers and the London Am­bu­lance Ser­vice at­tended and a 60-year-old man who had suf­fered a knife wound to the chest was taken to a west London hos­pi­tal.

His con­di­tion has now been deemed non life-threat­en­ing, po­lice con­firmed on Mon­day evening.

“No other per­sons are be­lieved to have been in­volved in this in­ci­dent,” the Metropoli­tan Po­lice said in a state­ment.

The po­lice con­firmed the man’s next of kin had been be­ing no­ti­fied and that no ar­rests had been made.

Pic­tures showed a heavy emer­gency ser­vice pres­ence in the area, near the Joel Street al­lot­ments.
