Webb’s album is a show-stopper
EVERY now and then one has to salute an undeniable talent staring you in the face like a rose growing from a concrete monstrosity, or an oasis emerging forth from an unyielding manufactured desert, or an island of prosperity and hope standing out like a rock from a sterile sea of familiarity.
So I hereby doff the metaphorical cap in the direction of one Ryan Webb and his band concerning the quality and originality of his forthcoming album. It’s fair to say that no artist in the history of any genre ever was not inspired or influenced by their predecessors and in Ryan’s work one can certainly hear hints of his heroes.
His U2, his Muse, his Van Halenesque guitar skills and David Lee Roth vocal style, his Queen and even his Oasis shine victoriously from the work ‘Stop The World.’
“Stop the world I want to get off” may seem like a cliche but I can guarantee most music fans will truly “get off” on this latest offering from Hillingdon’s virtuoso electric guitarist/vocalist/ songwriter/performer.
