TALKING about the proposed civic amenity site in Yiewsley in the current Hillingdon People

Councillor Puddifoot states that “many positive benefits will arise from our plans including an overall reduction in borough-wide traffic and associated air quality issues”.

No doubt there will be benefits for the north of the borough while Yiewsley and West Drayton will only see a worsening of traffic congestion and air quality which a facility open for 66 hours a week will bring.

This is presumably why 650 people signed a petition opposing it. Dave Robins Yiewsley
