Nurture lurchers for lots of love

-

DOGS Trust West London is looking for a forever home for two lovely lurchers who can’t bear to be apart.

Best friends Max and June arrived together at the rehoming centre in Harefield in March this year and are a bonded pair, meaning they have a strong attachment to each other and will struggle if they are separated.

Max is eight years old and June is 10 years old, and the doggy duo are looking for a quiet life together, with caring new owners who can show them all the joys that a loving home can offer. Max and June would need to be the only pets in an adult-only home.

Richard Moore, manager at Dogs Trust West London said: “Max and June are the best of friends and need new owners who are willing to take them together.

“While adopting two dogs is twice the responsibility, its also very rewarding and twice the love – and these lurchers have lots to give.”

Max is an affectionate dog who loves a run around and playing with his toys. He has a high chase drive so can’t live with small furries and will need to walk in a low dog-populated area.

His bestie June is a sweet girl who just longs for the quiet life.

She finds new situations worrying so will need time to settle into a home and to feel at ease with her new owners.

But once she does, June loves a fuss and will ask for cuddles.

Max and June are looking for a home away from busy roads with a private garden and owners who will be around most of the day to begin with to help them settle in and teach them the basics of living in a family home.

Once settled, leaving hours can be built up gradually. Ideally Max and June’s new owners will have experience of having lurchers and their particular traits.

If you have room in your house and your heart for this loveable pair of lurchers, please contact Dogs Trust West London to organise a visit on 01895 544544.
