The stars of black British business
A BUSINESSMAN from Hounslow has been named as a rising star at a ground-breaking Awards ceremony celebrating members of the black British business community.
Macky O’Sullivan - Senior Associate at King & Spalding was named Professional Services Rising Star at the awards which focus on people whose drive and success in their industry makes them standout and shine above the rest.
Macky’s roles include advising sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, multilaterals in connection with their fund formation, capital raising and co-investment activities across different geographies and asset classes.
As an Africa specialist, he has advised on several of the firm’s landmark transactions, sits on the global steering committee of the firm’s Africa Group and is responsible for helping implement the firm’s Africa strategy.
The Black British Business Awards recognises the rising stars and senior leaders who represent the frontrunners of the UK’s vibrant business sector. These include figureheads in STEM, innovative entrepreneurs and top corporate professionals in international institutions.
For the sixth year in a row, the BBBAwards’s have provided a spotlight on the breadth of impact black professionals have provided to our economy.
By transcending stereotypes and challenging unconscious bias, the awards highlight not only the need to have diverse voices within every business, but the financial contribution this provides to organisations.
