MAN USES PLASTIC GREENHOUSE AS FULL BODY PROTECTION ON WALK

-

ONE man was spotted taking extraordinary measures to protect himself from coronavirus while walking in Uxbridge.

As he walked along Harlington Road, the man was seen wearing what looked like a greenhouse.

With his ankles and feet the only part of himself on show, the greenhouse covered most of his body.

It seems his vision wasn’t affected either, with the material of the greenhouse being see-through.

Several Union flags were also stuck on the outside of the greenhouse.

One member of the public spotted the man on Friday (April 10) at around 11.30am.

The person who sent MyLondon the images claims the man dressed in the greenhouse was on a seven mile trek.

He said: “I’ve found out the guy dressed in that to go visit his grandson on his fifth birthday.

“I spoke to him on Facebook. From what he said as well he walked seven miles.”

Although we may never know the exact reason for the trip, it’s clear the man was doing everything possible to protect himself from Covid-19.

The Government has said people should only go out when it’s “essential”, such as to supermarkets or for medical needs, while it is acceptable to exercise once a day.

At the daily Government coronavirus press conference last week, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said there were “positive signs” from the latest figures that the UK was “starting to win” the struggle against the virus.

He said: “But we’ve still got a long way to go, and as those grisly figures that I’ve just read out show, we’ve still not passed the peak of this virus.”

“We don’t expect to make any changes to the measures currently in place at that point and we won’t until we’re confident, as confident as we realistically can be, that any such changes can be safely made,” Mr Raab added.
