Burglars break in and make threats to young child

ONE SUSPECT SAID HE WOULD KILL BOY WITH SCREWDRIVE­R

DETECTIVES investigat­ing a burglary in West London where a gang threatened to kill a young child have released an e-fit of a woman they wish to speak to.

The woman knocked on the door of a home in Taywood Road, Northolt and when the victim answered, three men – wearing balaclavas and masks – forced their way into the property.

One of the suspects threatened to kill the victim’s young child with a screwdrive­r, according to the Metropolit­an Police.

The burglars demanded that valuables were handed over immediatel­y and they left a short time later with cash and jewellery.

Officers from the Met Police are investigat­ing the incident, which happened at around 2.05pm on Friday, January 31, and are yet to make any arrests.

Detectives want to speak to anyone who recognises the woman in the e-fit.

Detective Sergeant Neil Hudson, who is leading the investigat­ion, said: “Thankfully both victims weren’t physically harmed but they have been left terribly distraught by the callous actions of these people.

“The incident is even more disturbing by the fact that a young boy was threatened with a weapon during the attack.

“I urge anyone who recognises this woman to contact us immediatel­y.”
