DETECTIVES are continuing to appeal for information following the deaths of three people in Brentford.

Officers forced entry to a residential address at Golden Mile House on Clayponds Lane at around 12.50am on October 6, following concerns for the welfare of the occupants.

Inside the address, officers found the bodies of 36-year-old Poorna Kaameshwari Sivaraj, and her son, three-year-old Kailash Kuha Raj.

They also found a 42-year-old man suffering stab injuries. Despite the best efforts of officers and the London Ambulance Service, he died at the scene.

He has been identified as Kuha Raj Sithamparanathan and was married to Poorna and the father of Kailash.

Next of kin have been informed. Post-mortem examinations concluded on October 9. They found Poorna’s cause of death to be from a knife wound. Kailash’s death was the result of compression of the neck. It was also concluded that Kuha had died from a stab wound to the chest.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Harding, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command leads the investigation.

He said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends. My investigation remains ongoing and I would continue to appeal to anyone who may have information that will assist us to come forward.

“We now know how this family tragically lost their lives, but we still need to find out why.

“Our initial enquiries established that Poorna and Kailash had not been seen or heard from for some time; Poorna since around Monday, September 21, and Kailash since around Thursday, September 24. What happened between then and when our colleagues found them?

“Did you see any of the family, or hear from them, over this period of time? Any piece of information could prove vital.”

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact the incident room on 020 8721 4205 or via 101 quoting CAD 7365/04Oct.

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police initially received a call late on October 4 from a family member raising concerns about the welfare of Poorna.

Officers attended the address several times throughout October 5 but received no reply. From talking to neighbours as the day progressed, concerns heightened and a decision was made to force entry.

The Directorate of Professional Standards has made a referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct as it is believed the Kuha Raj Sithamparanathan fatally injured himself when officers entered the property. This meets the criteria of a mandatory referral.
