QUIET, CLUMSY WOMAN WITH GLASSES PROBABLY SUPERHERO

-

THERE was speculation in a Birmingham office last week, that the quiet woman with spectacles who keeps knocking things over isn’t all she seems.

And it is being suggested that Gail Larson, who works as an actuary for Kent & Wayne Insurance Ltd, may be some sort of superhero.

“If you think about it, it all seems to fall into place,” said work colleague Christopher Downey. “The glasses, the quiet demeanour, it’s a classic technique for throwing people off the scent.”

pills “You look round the office and think ‘who is the last person who would be a superhero?’ In fairness, you’d probably say Ken because he’s morbidly obese and on heart pills. But after Ken, you would definitely say Gail. It’s the perfect cover,” he continued.

Mr Downey remained convinced of his co-worker’s superhero sta- tus, despite the fact that Ms Larson had been seen in the office whilst catastrophes were taking place around the globe.

“There are probably loads of disasters that she prevents that we don’t know about because she’s prevented them, and she could be doing that in her lunchtimes,” he said.

string Ms Larson was yesterday unavailable for comment as she was rushing into a toilet, removing her glasses and unbuttoning her shirt as sirens echoed from the streets outside the building.
