NATHAN BANNER was the star of the show for Neyland who lead the way in Division One of the Pembrokeshire Cricket League after defeating table toppers Cresselly by six wickets.
Cresselly batted first and saw Iwan Izzard hit 56 runs as they set a target of 147-9 off their allotted overs – with Banner and Gary Lloyd taking two wickets apiece while Andrew Miller claimed 3-32.
And Banner thumped 37 runs in reply, with Nick Koomen (31) also impressing, as Neyland reached 149-4 to claim victory and rise into top spot.
Tom Scourfield hit his maiden century for Carew who heaped further misery on basement boys Llanrhian.
The bottom side batted first and set a tricky target of 187-5 – with Ben Jones (68) smashing an impressive half-century.
But Scourfield was inspired with the bat and thumped 101 runs to add to a half-century by cousin Nick (55) as Carew reached 190-2 to seal a thumping eight-wicket win.
Ben Quartermaine (63) and Richard Adams (59) both weighed in with half-centuries for Narberth (196ao) who clinched an impressive 77-run triumph at Johnston (119ao).
Danny Potter (65) fired Haverfordwest (169-6) to a four-wicket success at home to Lawrenny (168ao) – with Simon Holliday and Gareth Davies both enjoying four wicket hauls.
The other result in the top flight saw Whitland (220-7) claim a winning draw in their clash with St Ishmaels (198-9).
