JAILED BROTHEL MADAM KNEW LAW WOULD CATCH UP WITH HER ONE DAY

BROTHEL madam Diana Jones is behind bars – half a decade after making a defiant pledge not to set foot in Wales for years. Jones was arrested at Stansted Airport moments after flying back into the UK. It is believed the grandmothe­r decided to return home due to health concerns.

In 2008, she received a 12-month suspended sentence and the following year she was ordered to pay back millions or face prison – but by then she had already fled Britain.

Jones’ empirep included Cardiff bordellos The Ambassador Health Suite, Twice as Nice and Heaven. They’re said to have netted more than £11,000 on one Six Nations weekend alone.

Twice as Nice, in the city’s Woodville Road, hit the headlines in 2003 after Plaid Cymru AM Phil Williams, 64, died there after suffering a heart attack.

In an exclusive interview with Wales on Sundayy in 2011, ,J Jones was adamant that she would make a new life for herself in Cyprus.

“I’ve made a good life for myself here,” the Carmarthen­shireborn fugitive said.

“I know the sentence is never going to go away, but in the meantime there’s nice weather, a great lifestyle and everyone speaks English.”

Tarian – South Wales’ organised crime unit – claims she made £4m from her dealings.
