SWANS RATED

-

KRISTOFFER NORDFELDT Did all that could be expected of him, including a fine save from a James Henry free kick just before half time. 8 STEPHEN KINGSLEY Not the easiest pre-season run out for the Scot, who was replaced by Rangel 6 at half time. KYLE NAUGHTON Switched to the left at half time with the introduction of Rangel and looked good especially in more advanced positions – and his goal was taken exquisitely. 9 FEDERICO FERNANDEZ He would have been shown a first-half red card if this had been a competitive fixture when he brought down Niall Ennis, who had left the Argentine for dead as he burst clear. 6 JORDI AMAT Looked more accomplished than his 7 partner in the centre of the defence. LEON BRITTON Pulled the strings in typical fashion in 7 the middle. JACK CORK Strong again, although his passing radar was not quite as accurate as we 7 have come to expect. LEROY FER An imposing presence in midfield, strong during defensive duties but 8 also good going forward. WAYNE ROUTLEDGE A superb game all round which saw his excellent volley and tap-in second just rewards for his efforts. 9 NATHAN DYER A tricky customer as ever, but the final ball wasn’t always there - although it was his cross which found its way to Routledge for Swansea’s opener. 7 ANDRE AYEW As quiet as he has been during the pre-season campaign. Swansea fans will hoe that wasn’t because of anything else playing on his mind. 7

SUBSTITUTES

MODOU BARROW What a creative spark. Two assists and a whole lot of running for the 9 second-half substitute. OLLIE MCBURNIE (BELOW) Came on for the last 20 minutes and 7 took his goal very well.
