Brother of missing man in heartfelt plea for his return

-

THE brother of a Cardiff man who has been missing since Tuesday has made a heartfelt plea for him to come home.

Andrew Klemencic, 28, was last seen on Tuesday at his flat in the Grangetown area of the city at around 10am.

Known to his friends as Drew, the Manchester United fan was reported missing to South Wales Police on Friday after concerns mounted among friends and family.

Originally from Aberystwyth, Drew has lived in Cardiff for 10 years and was known to visit the city centre and Penarth area.

His family are frantic with worry, and friends have been sharing messages on social media to raise awareness of their appeal.

Drew’s brother Matt, 27, travelled down from Aberystwyth to Cardiff on Friday night after he was told his brother was missing.

He said he and Drew’s friends have been out in the city centre and the places Drew likes to visit, putting up posters in train stations, libraries and near the Principality Stadium as rugby fans flocked to see Wales take on Australia.

Matt said: “He’s been living in Cardiff for over 10 years now. This was his home as far as he was concerned.

“He’s never been away this long without at least telling me. “He could be anywhere, really. “I don’t think he would have gone outside of Cardiff.”

Matt said his brother enjoys walking, which would sometimes see him visit the Penarth area.

Writing on Facebook, he added: “It’s good to know that Andrew had such a good network of friends that care for him.

“It gives him all the more reason to come home.”

South Wales Police confirmed it had received a report of Drew’s disappearance.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference number 372 4/11/16.
