HAS GHOST HUNTER MARK CAPTURED SPIRIT ON FILM?
APARANORMAL investigator says he has chilling footage which shows “ghosts” at an abandoned mental asylum in Wales. The video, taken by Mark Vernon earlier this year, show what he calls a “shadow man” dash past the camera before a mist “rushes towards” him from the upstairs landing at the haunted Pool Parc in Ruthin, Denbighshire.
Mark, from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, said: “We travel around the country helping people who suffer from paranormal problems, and I also look for interesting locations to go and investigate.
“When I saw pictures of Pool Parc I saw it was right in the middle of nowhere. It looked lost and forlorn – an excellent location. It was all boarded up and there was a mist around.”
Mark set up cameras to film for 10 hours. The first clip shows what he called a “shadowman” rushing past the camera at the former psychiatric hospital which at that time was referred to as a “mental asylum”.
The light in the background is a motion detector camera, used to help capture images of the “ghost”.
Mark said the “man” was difficult to catch clearly on film because it is a different frequency to humans. But because he positioned a second camera to film the eerie goings on, he caught it.
He claimed that on the visit, which took place in March, he found quite a few other spirits, including a “little girl” he kept hearing talk. He said: “She was saying ‘There’s a bad man over there.’”
Then, while searching for more paranormal activity, he took the next video.
Mark said: “I was finding my bearings and looking for access to the upper floors, and came across this staircase at the back. When I checked the footage later I saw the mist rush towards me. It’s some kind of spirit.”
Mark and co-investigator Tony Love found so much activity, they are planning on going back to the buildingg after Christmas.
