PRESTATYN TOWN maintained their unbeaten record in the Cymru Alliance with a 3-1 home victory over struggling Holyhead Hotspur.

Jordan Davies fired the hosts ahead before doubling the lead from the penalty spot. The Seasiders, who still need to raise £5,000 to avoid a winding up order, sealed the win right at the death through Noah Edwards.

Caernarfon Town kept in touch with the leaders with a hard-fought 3-2 win at Holywell Town. Shaun Tuck headed Holywell ahead but Kev Lloyd swung the game in Caernarfon’s favour with two goals in three minutes.

Rob Jones was then shown a straight red for the visitors but Lee Healey failed to take advantage as he missed the resulting penalty. Danny Brookwell scored a third for Caernarfon on the break before Tuck received a second yellow. Holywell then got a late consolatio­n through Phil Loyd.

Caersws won the battle for third with a 3-1 success at Flint Town United.

Elsewhere bottom club Ruthin United lost 1-0 to Llanfair United. Danny Barlow, Andreas Economides and Rhys Nash helped Mold Alex to a 3-2 victory over Buckley Town. Joel Hack, Mike Cronshaw got the Buckley goals.

Jake Cooke scored twice as Guilsfield enjoyed a 2-1 victory over Conwy Borough, Gresford Athletic won 2-1 at Porthmadog, while Penrhyncoc­h and Denbigh drew 1-1.
