Mum’s plea to Justin Bieber after her little girl dies
THE mother of a 14-yearold who died last week is determined to fulfil one of her daughter’s ambitions. Megan Evans, from Milford Haven, died on Tuesday.
A huge Justin Bieber fan, Megan was excited about going to see him in June. Now, mum Nicola is trying to get the Canadian superstar to sign some memorabilia to her daughter.
She said: “We want some personalised memorabilia from Justin Bieber signed to Megan to go in her casket.
“We bought her a VIP ticket to see him in June and she sobbed when she got them. She lived and breathed him.
“She was going to use the VIP pass to try and get a signature and she won’t be able to now. I want to do that for her. “It was her dream and it can be fulfilled.” Nicola posted a status on Facebook asking for help and describing the family’s devastation. The post has been shared more than 2,000 times.
In it, she wrote: “To all our wonderful friends at home & around the world, as you may know, our beautiful, kind & caring daughter tragically took her own life earlier this week. This is utterly devastating to us & all of her friends & anyone who knew her.
“Nothing we can do will ever bring her back, but now more than ever we need to fulfil wishes we knew she had. As all her friends will know she idolised Justin Bieber & had VIP tickets to see him in June.
“Sadly now this will never happen but we desperately would like a piece of memorabilia signed by Justin to Megan Evans to put in her casket with her.”
Devastated Nicola told us she wants other parents to be aware of the signs that their children are not happy.
“I don’t want her death to be in vain,” said Nicola.
“I want to raise awareness to parents to keep an eye out for the signs. I just had no idea.
“They say you see signs and looking back there were.
“She was a budding artist and the content of some of her pictures – you can see she wasn’t happy.
“Looking at pictures you can see it was not a happy smile.
“Unless you are actively looking you don’t see them. You have to read between the lines.”
Following Megan’s death there has been an outpouring of support to the family.
Nicola said it has been a source of comfort.
She said: “It has been something to focus on. The response from people has been phenomenal. We have been humbled by it.”
