Little to do in first-half but saved what he had to and showed some decent reactions as Leeds tried to force things towards the end.

MATT CONNOLLY

Another eye-catching outing from Connolly who is definitely back in form. Clever interventions, solid and physical when needed and brought the ball out well to aid counter.

SOL BAMBA

Low-key return to Elland Road for the former Leeds captain who didn’t give the home fans any chance to get at him. Did what he had to with minimum fuss.

SEAN MORRISON(CAPT)

An eye-catching afternoon from the skipper who was in the right place at the right time defensively and for crucial breakthrough.

JAZZ RICHARDS

Struggled in the opening period as he found little support to contain both Dallas and Ayling but got a hand from Harris after the break.

GREG HALFORD

Didn’t get close enough to Hernandez in first half and didn’t sense the danger the Spaniard was bringing. Better after break but also guilty of missing big chance.

JOE RALLS

A more simplified game from Ralls who sat a little deeper than normal but didn’t impose himself on game when he did get ball.

KADEEM HARRIS

Signs of real improvement from the flier who caused Leeds problems when he drove at defenders. Final ball and a bit more composure is needed but worked hard and got rewards.

CRAIG NOONE

Brought back into the side and put in a real shift to suggest he can stay there. Led counter charges well and superb delivery for opener.

KENNETH ZOHORE

Frustrated at times when he couldn’t quite make more of the ball in a game where you wondered if Cardiff would get too many chances, but persistence paid off with goal.
