WEST Wales Cricket Conference leaders Aberystwyth beat UWA Commoners by 21 runs in the final of the West Wales Cricket Conference T20 competition.

Ceri John hit 37, as Aberystwyth batted first, to help his side finish on 142-7 after their allocation of overs was completed. The Commoners did fight back with Rakesh Bahatia striking 57 but they could only manage to reach 121-8 after their 20 overs, which saw Aberystwyth claim victory.

Aberystwyth had earlier beaten Aberaeron by six wickets in the semi-final. Aberaeron reached 120-7 but Aberystwyth came roaring back and hit the target with five overs to spare.

In the other last-four tie, UWA Commoners enjoyed a truly dominant 10-wicket victory over Talybont.
