How they rated

- BY DOMINIC BOOTH

NEIL ETHERIDGE

Caught well under the high ball and showed good distribution. Could be criticised for parrying a second half shot to a Wolves shirt which allowed the hosts to flood forward and level.

LEE PELTIER

Tested by Wolves’ fluid front three who tried to manipulate him out of position, but made a couple of well-timed challenges and interceptions to keep it tight.

SEAN MORRISON (CAPT)

His positioning was impeccable; every time Wolves stormed forward the captain was there to clear away. Not always the prettiest to watch but very effective in this one.

JAZZ RICHARDS

Might have closed down Jota a little more in the lead-up to Wolves’ leveller but otherwise tidy, still playing out of position in the absence of the injured Joe Bennett.

ARON GUNNARSSON

Played a vital role in the Ralls’ goal by winning the ball back and calmly feeding Hoilett for the attack. It typified everything the Ice Man is about as he played the holding role to perfection.

JOE RALLS

Absolutely everywhere. He occasionally lacks finesse with his passing but covered an insane amount of ground and rolled home a cute finish for the goal on 54 minutes.

LOIC DAMOUR

Picked instead of Lee Tomlin to shore up the midfield and made a real nuisance of himself early on. Looks a typical ‘Warnock’ player, willing to graft hard for the team, though he ran out of steam in the second half.

JUNIOR HOILETT

We’re witnessing the Canadian flier in top form: the kind of form he showed under Warnock at Queens Park Rangers. Tore past Matt Doherty to set up Ralls’ goal and did his bit defensively.

NATHANIEL MENDEZ-LAING

Gave poor Barry Douglas the run-around when he got the chance but was deprived of space in a tetchy first-half that was largely played through the middle. A livewire on the right wing who deserved his well taken goal late on.

KENNETH ZOHORE

He’ll have better games but the Dane kept Wolves’ back three - and goalkeeper - busy, opening up space for Hoilett and Mendez-Laing to exploit as well. Won a significant number of headers and proved he can ignore the hype.
